- Historical Timeline of the Camera (U1A1) DUE: February 18, 2010 Extended to February 22, 2010
- Research and create a timeline of the history of the camera. The assignment should be typed and use a table. You should include at least 30 entries. The assignment should be submitted electronically.

- Buying a Camera (U1A2) DUE: March 8, 2010
- Research and create a 2 page summary on buying a camera of your choice. You should begin by establishing a price limit for what you want to spend and the type of camera you want to purchase. In your document present three different camera options that you feel meet your requirements and then make a purchasing recommendation.

- Create a PowerPoint slideshow that illustrates each of the different techniques discussed through the class notes. You will present this in class and will be peer marked.
Your slideshow should include the following techniques (16):

Week Photo Assignment
February 8 Take a picture of something that has significance to you. (WP1)
February 18 Take a picture communicating the idea of "cold". (WP2)
February 24 Take a 2 picture set demonstrating either depth of field or shutter speed. The pictures you take should be the same showing 2 different use of settings. (WP3a and WP3b)
March 10 Make a picture about melting. You should use a combination of the 6 techniques to enhance the focal point of an image. (WP4)
March 15 Make a picture on the theme of "Juxtapostion". Juxtaposition is the placing of items in an image side by side or next to each other to illustrate some comparison. Extreme contrasts work the best: tall/short, hot/cold. (WP5)
March 22 Make a picture on the theme of "SURFACES". (WP6)
April 12 Theme of the week is "Hot". (WP7)
April 21 Theme this week is "New Life". (WP8)
April 26 Theme this week is "Many" (WP9)
