Grade 7 Physical Education and Health

Required Physical Education Clothing: t-shirt, shorts/sweats, clean dry shoes, No Jewelry. Shorts need to be a reasonable length (avoid spandex, spanx, etc.), and shirts need to have sleeves that come over the shoulder, and have appropriate messages.

Class Expectations

  1. Safety - self, others
  2. Respect others - teacher, classmates
  3. Respect the learning environment - equipment, facilities
  4. Support the learning of others -sharing, supporting, encouraging
  5. Try hard - effort to do your best, learn

We will have Health class 1 time per week for 35 minutes.  PE class will be 2 days a week for 1 hour each.

Grading:

  1. Physical Education - 70%     Effort, Skill, Class Expectations
  2. Health - 15%  Quizzes, Assignments
  3. Fitness - 15%  12-minute run, Beep test, and Upper, Middle, Lower body workouts 

Each PE class will be graded on a mark out of 5.  If you do not bring your Physical Education clothing, are injured or sick, you will need to do a classroom assignment.  Each of these assignmnets will be graded on a mark out of 1.  Please bring a note from home if you are injured or sick.
