SCHS Athletics exists to supplement the academic program and provide Athletics with a Christian Perspective by: 

• Fostering an environment of Christian sportsmanship and modeling Christian character as ambassadors for Jesus Christ

Flames Althetic Awards

Each year, we as a department want to recognize those athletes who have excelled in their sports and contributed greatly to their team and our program so hand out. These awards are selected annually by the coaches and the Athletic Department staff, based on the following criteria:

Steinbach Christian High School student athlete MVP Qualities are as follows:

• An athlete who lives out his faith on and off the court/field
• An athlete who contributes to his team on the floor/field and off the floor/field
• An athlete who has a high degree of skill
• An athlete whose influence creates a positive team atmosphere through hard work in practices and games, by constantly being an encouragement to others, by leading by example and by always putting out their best effort
• An athlete who has a clear dedication and commitment to the overall growth of the athletics program, so they are at practices and games.
• An athlete who promotes fairplay in their interactions by respecting referees, coaches, competitors, & spectators.
