Welcome to the Library

The SBC/SCHS Library has a collection of over 30,000 titles, over 3000 periodical backfiles, and subscribes to approximately 170 magazines and journals. It houses a growing collection of videos, CDs and cassette tapes. Academic software and CD-Rom products are also available for in-library use.

The majority of the library's holdings are biblical and theological in nature. It includes a significant collection of works on Anabaptist/Mennonite history, theology and genealogies. General works on science, history, politics, literature, psychology, sociology, and anthropology round out the collection.

While its aim is to develop and maintain a reputable academic collection, a considerable number of more popular religious works are added regularly. Because the library also serves the High School, works written on subjects such as history, geography and literature are also collected.

Borrowing

Although the primary purpose of the library is to serve students, faculty, and staff of SBC and SCHS, we welcome people from the community and surrounding areas to use its many resources. All community patrons are charged an annual membership fee of $10.
