Welcome
to the 2010 Junior Varsity Provincial Basketball Championships!
Steinbach Christian High School is pleased to host you for
this year’s Championship. Each of the teams represented at this event have
worked hard to get here and I want to congratulate each one of you and wish
you the best as you compete this weekend.
Our hope is that this event is a safe one filled with high
quality play, exemplary sportsmanship and the development of new friends.
For many this may be the first major Championship that you have ever
attended, enjoy the experience. Soak in every aspect. Remember that you have
already achieved something great by the fact that you are representing your
Zone this weekend.
My prayer is for each team to remain injury free, and to play
at their best!
MHSAA Welcome
On behalf of the Manitoba High Schools Athletic
Association, and it's member schools Welcome to the 2010 SUBWAY Junior
Varsity Basketball Championships.
Over 5000 student athletes play high school basketball making it one
of our most popular activities.
Hundreds of hours of hard work and commitment
have gone into practices, games, and tournaments in preparation for this
weekend.
We wish you success and best of luck as you strive to
achieve your ultimate goal of being proclaimed MHSAA Provincial Champion.

provincials.
The support of all volunteers - students, staff,
parents, sponsors and the community is appreciated and is a major factor in

T-Shirts
T-shirts and sweaters will be available only at SCHS for approximately $20 and $40 respectively
Banquet/Opening Ceremonies
All teams (boys and girls) meet in SCHS Chapel at 4:10 pm
for staging.
The banquet and opening ceremonies will be held separately for boys and
girls.
Boys:
Banquet at 4:30pm in SCHS Cafeteria followed by Opening Ceremonies and
Skills Competition at 5:30pm in SCHS gym.
Girls:
Opening Ceremonies and Skills Competition at 4:30pm in SCHS gym followed by
Banquet at 5:30pm in SCHS Cafeteria.
