Daily Absenteeism Report

No

No unusual absenteeism reported.

Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth (MECY) requires SCHS to track school absenteeism and to keep parents informed via our website. In order to gather this information, you will be asked if your child is sick and if they have a fever when you call the office to excuse an absence. Check our website daily to see if there was an unusually high level of absenteeism reported the day before. When a report of unusual absenteeism is received, the school contacts public health for expert advice and direction. Public health will tell the school if any changes need to be made to reduce the spread of infection, and the school will inform parents of these recommended changes.

It is important to note that absenteeism reports may not be because of the flu. Absenteeism may be related to other medical or non-medical reasons.
